One might get on the RIVER WALK just two blocks from the Norsk Hus Inn. The River Walk provides a walking trip through nature, winding through several parks along the river. Historical information about Thief River Falls is located at sights along the lovely trail.
The Floyd Olson Park is located just "kitty corner" across the street from the Inn. Enjoy a picnic lunch (order from the Ei Koffestove at the Inn) under the gazebo.
Enjoy local hockey games at the Huck B. Olson events center.
A Public Boat Launch provides access to fishing, canoeing and boating.
Just nine miles east on Highway 59 is the Seven Clans Casino.
Enjoy a round of golf at the Thief River Falls Golf Course.
Thief River Falls hosts several seasonal weekend flea markets.
Enjoy a movie out at the Galaxy Twin Theater. Ask the proprietor for a list of movies currently playing.

Attractions:
Take a stroll to the historical downtown area and visit local shoppes and restaurants. The River Walk, a short hike from the Inn, will lead to Chief Robe Beach, where swimming, fishing, and boating are available. The Inn is within walking distance of exquisite restaurants and shoppes.
Overnight camping and hiking gear and cooking equipment can be rented at the Inn. Bike rental and inside storage for bikes is also available.
Limo services can be arranged through the proprietor. Visit the local casinos, the River Road and the Shooting Star.
The Floyd Olson Park, located just across the street from the Inn. The gazebo is a relatively new addition to the park and is perfect for a late evening picnic lunch, a family gathering or a special place to just sit and relax. |

There is nothing like viewing a Minnesota sunset through the forest. Order a picnic lunch from Ei Kaffestove and enjoy some sight seeing. A 90 minute trip from the Norsk Hus Inn towards Bemidji can yield such a view. Go to Itasca State Park for a day of hiking, biking or snoshoeing. | |
